This abstract painting uses a mixture of paint and clothing scraps to provide depth and texture. This piece of art depicts a young boy from an immigrant camp whose parents died in the Rwanda civil war. He also lost of his aunts and uncles, and so he doesn’t know who he is. He doesn’t understand which culture he is from, so he is scratching his head. He is an orphan in Africa; one of the most unlucky children.
